This historic churchyard contains the ruins of Lennoxtown's original (and most historic) burial grounds. Internments no longer take place here following the devastating fire in 1984 which turned the beautiful High Kirk (church) into a ruin. The entrance is from the town's Main Street with an imposing stone arch and driveway leading to the Kirk located in an imposing elevated position. Adjacent is the renamed Campsie - Lennoxtown cemetery which was the overspill for the kirk's own churchyard, and a short walk to the newest High Park cemetery which opened in 2013.
