I was told by the landowner that the Harris Cemetery and the Pryor cemetery was one cemetery although on some maps it showed two different locations. This is what is recorded in the book "Tombstone Inscriptions of Limestone County, Alabama" Compiled by Linda Smith. Matthew Harris patented lands in Albemarle Co., VA. in 1741 It is believed he soon removed to the present territory of Nelson. He married Miss Lee and had two sons, William and Lee. William Harris, son of Matthew, first patented land in Albemarle Co., VA. in 1939. He married Mary Netherland and had the following children: Matthew; Sarah , Wife of ___ Mosby; Elizabeth, wife of John Diggs, Virginia, wife of ----- Steger; John; William; Mary, wife of Hanes Coleman; and Judith, wife of George Coleman. Matthew married Elizabeth Tate, daughter of Henry & Martha C. Tate. They had 15 children one of how was Shuyler who married Frances Blades. he died in 1803
