Rutherford Street Cemetery also known as Woolston Cemetery. Woolston was the second cemetery to be established in Christchurch City with the first burial recorded in 1852. In July 1866 the land was purchased by the Church of England Parish. The graveyard was originally known as Heathcote cemetery.
