Description

The current church, a Victorian stone building of 1846, replaced an earlier church. Two great yews grace the front of Saint Garmon\'s, one of which is believed to be over 1000 years old. The saint is said to have preached from the great mound (possibly a Bronze Age burial mound) known as Tomen Garmon in 429 AD and services have been here since. The cemetery has slate stones from the 1700s (Welsh weather is hard on them, many have split and flaked away); others are from 2013. Saint Garmon's is located in the village called Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog by the river Ceiriog.
