Also known as Butterworths Cemetery. Established 1889, this historic cemetery is located behind Mountain View Cemetery. Must drive through to the back. Before 1893, when north Centralia was to be platted, more than 100 remains were taken from the Tullis Cemetery and moved to the first Mountain View Cemetery, which is in the rear of today's Mountain view burial park. Whether the Tullis cemetery dead started the first Mountain View or whether it was already established is not certain. In any event, Mountain View acquired most of the settlers of the earliest days and as modern times came, a number of family burial plots gave up their dead to be moved there.
