You can't see the cemetery very well in this aerial view. I found that using Bing Maps gives a better overhead shot (if you zoom in close) of the cemetery. If you use Google Maps Street View, it's on the south side of the street and it's very obvious that it is a cemetery. There are at least 700 interments in this cemetery from research on its history. I have e-mailed the City of Gulfport to see who is responsible for this cemetery. There used to be a sign showing it was the Old Mississippi City Cemetery, but at some point, it disappeared and the city or county didn't replace it. According to the City, Harrison County is responsible for maintaining the cemetery. They may or may not have records.
