Lance Cove Pioneer Cemetery is located off of Lance Cove Road up an unpaved path on the side of the road opposite Sacred Heart Grotto. As of summer 2022, a roadside sign points toward it as "Early 1800's Community Cemetery." The cemetery is located very near the edge of a cliff in an opening in a wooded area. The cemetery includes about 6 to 7 sandstone or limestone historic headstones, one replica replacement stone, and there may be some less visible fieldstone markers. [Note: Lance Cove Pioneer Cemetery (Early 1800's Community Cemetery) should not be confused with Old St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, which is further in Lance Cove Road and is a larger cemetery with mostly white marble headstones and also a gray marble World War I memorial erected by the congregation of St. Mary's Church, Lance Cove.]
