Gungahlin Cemetery opened in 1979 and is the largest cemetery in Canberra. It is a stunning cemetery that visitors can enjoy throughout the year, with autumn being a particularly beautiful season when the leaves change colour. The Gungahlin Crematorium is the first publicly owned crematorium in the Australian Capital Territory and was officially opened on March 15th, 2021. It is situated in the Gungahlin Park, which is located across the street from the privately owned and operated Norwood Park Crematorium.
