Most headstones on this cemetery bear an almost unique custom, rather unknown throughout Germany: The leading family name (surname) is shown on the front side, whereas the personal names including birthdates and deathdates are only shown on the reverse (back) side of the headstone. This makes it difficult for the photographer, and it almost doubles the number of photos taken from each burial plot.
