The Fort Knox Post Cemetery has a long history dating to the early years of the Army installation on which it resides and has evolved since that time, while at the same time keeping its historic setting and overall integrity. The cemetery is the final resting place for Soldiers and their dependents from across the nation. They include veterans, war casualties, and prisoners of war. It's located just adjacent to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, an older burial ground which initially served the Catholic community from Stithton. The cemetery is a beautiful place to visit and is definitely worth making it a part of your history tour.
