The Fayetteville Library research section there are two books that document the Confederate Cemetery. It includes newspaper clippings, who attended the opening, presidents of the organization, Historic Landmark, etc.) It also includes the names of 156 people buried at the cemetery. All of the bodies were found in various locations in NW Arkansas. (Pea Ridge BattleField, Elk Horn Battlefield, Prairie Grove, etc.) and reburied in 1874. Some had names and most did not (listed as Unknown Person).
