Brookdale Cemetery was puchased by the City of Elyria in 1925 and contained approximately 42 acres of land. An additional 50 acres was purchased in 1952. The cemetery is located southwest of Elyria on State Route 20, Oberlin Road, at the intersection of Murray Ridge Road. The natural beauty of the cemetery, with its slopes and creek, adapts itself to a beautifully landscaped development.
