Breslau Cemetery is named after the village, Breslau founded in 1873. It became, Lindenhurst in 1891. Thomas Wellwood, a founder of Breslau, established the cemetery in 1875, on a 16-acre parcel of land. Those that voluntarily created the road to this new burial place from already existing Wellwood Avenue, were given cemetery plots, for their time and work.
