Beaverdam Cemetery is one of the oldest in Hanover County, believed to have been established by the late 1700s. It is located at 16498 Tyler Station Road, in Beaverdam, Virginia (23015). There are 27 known graves, the oldest being that of Elizabeth Winston Fontaine, wife of Peter Fontaine Jr., who died in 1810, and the most recent being Joseph Morris Fontaine, son of James and Juliet Fontaine, who died in 1915. There may be other graves, including the possible grave of Barbara Overton Winston (1690-1766) wife of William Winston.
