Elsie May Allen, born July 14 1905 in Duncan, Indian Territory to
Frank and Callie Burks Ray, died March 10 1999 in Duncan Regional
Hospital.
She married Jim Allen in 1922. During the Second World War she was
employed by Douglas Aircraft and also worked at Tinker Air Force
Base.
She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and the Eastern Star
Lodge.
She was survived by two daughters-in-law, Lila Collins and Evelyn
All both of Duncan, a sister Hattie White of Duncan, Six
grandchildren, Carolyn and Wayne Martin , Mary and Bill Black, Chuck
and Julia Allen, Bill Allen, Janie and Ron Smithson, Jim T. and
Carolyn Allen, eighteen great-grandchildren, Angella Dickerson,
Cathy Phipps, Jennifer Crisler, Bill Martin, Sylvia and Nicole
Dockall, Kindra and Katrina Allen, Cody Black, Kelly Martin,
Jennifer Shelton, Randall Allen, Teresa Harrison, Kristie Anderson,
Laura and Jimmy Jennings, Becky Robinson and Jeff Wimp, 14 great-
great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1940. Funeral services
were held in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy
Southerland officiating.
Burial was in the Duncan Cemetery.
