- Thomas A. Driscoll, 53, of Orlando, died July 31. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to the area from there in 1993. He was a city government correction officer. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, St. Cloud. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Driscoll, Orlando; sons, Laurence T. Driscoll, Kissimmee, Michael O. Driscoll, Orlando, Thomas A. Driscoll and Shawn A. Driscoll, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughters, Bernadette E. Walsh, Staten Island, N.Y., Catherine N. Driscoll, Orlando; sister, Eileen Stron, Monticello, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 3 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Fabian Gimeno officiating. Burial was in Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee. Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home, Kissimmee, was in charge of arrangements.

The Disneyland Hotel is a resort hotel located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, owned by the Walt Disney Company and operated through its Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products division. Opened on October 5, 1955, as a motor inn owned and operated by Jack Wrather under an agreement with Walt Disney, the hotel was the first to officially bear the Disney name. Under Wrather's ownership, the hotel underwent several expansions and renovations over the years before being acquired by Disney in 1988. The hotel was downsized to its present capacity in 1999 as part of the Disneyland Resort expansion.
