was a retired Methodist minister in Florida. He served on the United
Methodist Bishops Cabinet from 1991 to 1998, was trustee for the Florida
United Methodist Childrens Home, was on the board of directors for the
Society of St. Andrews, Big Island, Va., and was on the Conference
Council on Ministries. Survivors include his wife, Edythe Fox, Mars
Hill, N.C.; daughter, Wendy L. Luckey, Naples; son, Jonathan S. Fox,
Leesburg; sisters, Nancy Pickett, Bartow; and Sally Patton, Franklin,
N.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Florida United
Methodist Childrens Home, 51 Main St., Enterprise, FL 32725, and/ or to
the Society of St. Andrew, 3383 Sweet Hollow Road, Big Island, Va.
24526. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Florida. Blue
Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill, N.C., is in charge of arrangements.
