of a pioneer Osceola County family, he was born in Orlando, the son of
Raymond Lee Bowen Sr. and Sarah Johnson Bowen, and moved to LaPlace,
La., from St. Cloud in 1983. He was a purchasing agent for Highland
Fabricators, Reserve, La., a 1981 graduate of St. Cloud High School, and
was a member of the Silver Spurs Riding Club. He was a member of Lock
Haven Baptist Church, Orlando. Survivors include his mother, Sarah J.
Bowen, St. Cloud; sisters, Lynn Lux, Kenansville, Lisa Darby, Cody,
Wyo.; paternal grandfather, Julius E. Bowen, Davenport; a niece and
nephew. Graveside services were held March 29 from Osceola Memory
Gardens, Kissimmee, with the Rev. Billy R. Rigsby, pastor of Eastern
Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Active casketbearers were Kenny
Bowen, Steve Dulgar, Martyn Hoyle, Mike Mann, Tripp Partin and Rick
Penpheny. Honorary casketbearers were all his Louisiana family members.
Grissom Funeral Home, Kissimmee, was in charge of local arrangements.
