- Lester W. Tomei, 58, of New Mexico, died July 7. Born in Brownfield, Texas, he moved to the area from Las Cruces, N.M., in 1995. He was a tile and marble contractor. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Tomei, Kissimmee; sons, Joseph Tomei and David Tomei, both of Taylor, Texas; daughters, Jan Bathman, Las Cruces, N.M., Patty Wendt, Waco, Texas, Carol Tomei, Las Cruces, N.M.; father, Edmardo Tomei, Flint, Mich.; brothers, Chester Tomei, Las Cruces, N.M., Edmardo Tomei Jr., Attoyo Grande, Calif.; sisters, Lucille Sima and Judy Conway, both of Flint, Mich., Mary Elizabet Derwin, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; and eight grandchildren. Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home, Kissimmee, was in charge of arrangements.
