- Jose Ramon Cotto-Colon Sr., 56, of Vienna Lane, Kissimmee, died
Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, he moved to the area
from New Jersey in 1989. He was an air conditioning engineer at the
Marriott World Center in Orlando for 12 years, and retired after 20
years of service in the U.S. Army. He was chaplain for the Osceola
County Corrections Facility. He was a member of the Manantial De Vida
Church. Survivors include his wife, Ada Cotto; son, Jose Ramon Cotto
Jr.; daughters, Alvia and Brenda Cotto, all of Kissimmee; brothers,
Johnny Cruz and Eddie Rivera, both of New York, N.Y.; sisters, Van
Gelita Cotto and Romonia Cotto, both of Puerto Rico; Yolanda Rivera, New
York, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. Services were held Aug. 8, at
Iglesia Principe De Paz with Jose Vargas, pastor, and Pablo A.
Lopez-Lopez, pastor, officiating. Interment followed at the Woodlawn
Memorial park. Grissom Funeral Home and Crematory, Kissimmee, was in
charge of arrangements.
