HEPLER – Mr. Dean Hepler, age 64 of Dakota Avenue, St. Cloud, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at a local hospital in St. Cloud. Mr. Hepler was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and has lived in the Central Florida Area for many years. He was a retired cement truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy Hepler of St. Cloud, children, Mark (Karen) Hepler of Nashville, Tennessee, Michael (Maryann) Hepler of North Carolina, Kim (Charlie) Longson of St. Cloud, Robert (Tanya) Hepler of St. Cloud, Krista (Shawn) Lamdureux of Kissimmee, grandchildren, Jessie, Kayleigh, Michael Jr., Ryan, Taylor, Larissa, Jordan, Paige, Levi, brothers, Richard Hepler, Guy Hepler, David Hepler. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandaughter, Shawna.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 11 a.m at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Interment to follow in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, April 25, 2008 from 7 to 9 PM at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee. The Columbine High School massacre was a school shooting that occurred on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School in Columbine, an unincorporated area of Jefferson County, Colorado, United States, in the Denver metropolitan area. In addition to the shootings, the complex and highly planned attack involved a fire bomb to divert firefighters, propane tanks converted to bombs placed in the cafeteria, 99 explosive devices, and car bombs. The perpetrators, senior students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered 12 students and one teacher. They injured 21 additional people, and three more were injured while attempting to escape the school. The pair subsequently committed suicide.
