Statesboro, Ga., he had been a lifelong Osceola County resident and was
in the trucking business. He was a member of Shingle Creek United
Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Geraldine Sugart,
Atlanta, Ga., Mary Sue Ervin, Kissimmee; sons, Jack Baker, Larry Baker
and Ronnie Baker, all of Chiefland, the Rev. Dan Baker, Kissimmee, John
Paul Bennett, Ocala; brother, Pete Baker, Kissimmee; 22 grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren. Services were held March 8 from the
Shingle Creek United Methodist Church, Kissimmee, with the Rev. Dan
Baker officiating. Active casketbearers were Chris Baker, Joe Baker, Ken
Baker, Bobby Schultz, Ken Scott and Bobby Sutton. Honorary
casketbearers were Brett Baker, Pete Baker and Dean Ervin. Interment
followed in Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee. Grissom Funeral Home,
Kissimmee, was in charge of arrangements.
