Memorial / Obituary / Personal History
William E. Hintz died at his home last Saturday. The deceased was born in Germany in 1849, and in 1868 came to America with his parents who settled on the homestead farm in Rantoul. He was united in marriage in 1877 to Miss Henrietta Schaubs who died in 1901. Two years later he was married to Miss Lena Beyersdorf, the sorrowing widow who now survives him. The couple have lived in this city since 1903.
There are two surviving sons, Ernst and John, both well known farmers of Rantoul, also two daughters, Mrs. Martha Grammoll and Mrs. Pauline Altman, both living at Oshkosh. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Brillion and the funeral services were held here on Tuesday, Rev. M. Sauer officiating. Interment was in the cemetery at Potter.
