On a laminated A4 sheet of paper attached to the grave - Creswick Cemetery - William Carbes 54 years old, born Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. One of the Shift Bosses at the time of the Australasian No. 2 Mine disaster. Mr. Carbes worked tirelessly trying to save the trapped men. On the other side of the grave are the names WILLIAM CARBES & BRIDGET CARBES.
