Cuncliffe Who Espoused Ardently The Cause Of Southern Rights At The Commencement Of The War In 1861 And Had Fought Gallantly As A Volunteer In The 18th Mississippi Regiment At Manassas, Leesburg, Fredricksburg And Other Battlefields; Recieved His Mortal Wound At Chancellorville, May 2nd 1863 By The Same Volley That Struck The Immortal Jackson And Survived 30 Hours, Breathing, While Life Lasted, And Earnest Prayer For The Salvation Of His Beloved Country.
