Born December 15, 1907 in Provo, Utah, son of Edward Martin and Belva Fern York Sorenson. Married Elsie Morris December 16, 1935 in Provo, Utah; later divorced. Married LaVon Lambert December 25, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of International Association of Iron Workers, local #27. Survived by wife, LaVon, West Valley City; daughter, Wynne (Frank) Hawkins, San Jose, Calif.; son, Todd V. Sorenson, Glencoe, Calif.; three stepchildren, Farrol (Colleen) Lambert, Kearns; Norma (Merrill) Paskins, Sandy; Jean May, Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alta (Sandy) Pyper, Heber City. Preceded in death by infant twin children in 1936 and one brother, Roy. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State. Friends may call Friday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, SLC, and also Saturday 12-1 p.m.

Preceded in death by daughters, Barbara Jane Lambert and infant twin, Nina Lambert, and one brother. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Gregory Dupont and nurse, Karen Nordgren.
