He loved his wife, and loved to irritate her

Contributor: rprows Created: 7 months ago Updated: 7 months ago

Grandma Bart hated the smell of sagebrush. My mother, Kayleen Kidman, daughter of Grandma and Grandpa Bart, recounted the story that he would often go hunting. At the end of his hunts, he would gather up some sagebrush, burn it, and stand in the smoke so he started to smell just like sagebrush. When he would come home that would be the first thing Grandma Bart noticed. She would be excited to see him again and then be hit with a wave of smell off of Grandpa Bart. This irritated her to no ends and he did this on multiple occasions.
