A tribute of respect to the memory of JOHN GILFOYLE by his fellow workers of the Government Printing Office Brisbane who died January 24th 1874 aged 27 years.
Here also lie the remains of JOHN GILFOYLE son of the above who died March 3rd 1871 aged 4 years.
Also SARAH GILFOYLE wife and mother of the above who died December 24th 1912 aged 66 years.

**Cemetery records show that Melcha Hartley (nee Burke), Eileen Margaret Hartley, Catherine Buckley (nee Guilfoyle) and Mary Ann Hartley are also interred here.

**According to cemetery records Michael John Bride, Honora Gilfoyle, John Gilfoyle snr. (and John Gilfoyle jnr. (1852-1874) were re-interred in the Toowong Cemetery on the 23rd of April, 1913 (original interment Paddington Cemetery - defunct). All names and dates not shown on the headstone have been taken from Cemetery records.
**Sarah Gilfoyle (nee Mullholland) is interred in Portion 7A, Section 113, Plot 3. It appears that when the remains of her husband John (1852-1874) and her son John Henry were re-interred at the Toowong Cemetery on the 23 of April, 1913 the original Headstone from the Paddington Cemetery (defunct) was placed on her grave-site and her name was inscribed with theirs. Her husband John was re-interred in a family plot (Portion 7, Section 25, Plot 22) and her young son was laid to rest with her.
