DESERT HUNT FOR SOLDIER CONTINUES NEAR WILLIAMS
Williams (AP) - A search was to resume today near here for a young soldier who reportedly disappeared while on a trip to Utah.
The subject of the search is Spec. 5 Terry Lee Arnold, 26, who was on his way from Ft. Huachuca to a new assignment in Salt Lake City.
Meanwhile, Coconino County Sheriff Cecil Richards said that attempts were being made to identify a man's body found yesterday by searchers looking for Arnold.
Richards said the victim was apparently in his 20s and had been dead about eight days. The sheriff said there was no identification on the body.
Arnold's abandoned pickup truck was found near here Thursday after the soldier's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Arnold of Riverton, Utah, reported that their son had failed to meet them last weekend in Kanab, Utah, just north of the Arizona-Utah border.
