Description

Scion of a feudal lord, Ueda Caln, Shinshu, Japan came to U.S.1872. Graduated Rutgers University 1879. Served as a civil engineer for Union Pacific R. R. state of Colorado. First Japanese resident of Colorado. Monument erected 1952 by Japanese of Rocky Mountain Region.
