Hubbard Alfred Tyler, b. 21 Jun 1842, d. 22 Nov 1862, is shown on one face of the cenotaph with his father Simeon, mother Ruth, and brother Florian, but he is not actually buried in Plainfield Cemetery. He is buried in the Nashville National Cemetery, Madison, TN. He is buried in Section A, Grave No. 4334. He died from typhoid fever while serving with the 100th Regiment, Illinois Volunteer Infantry.
