My Dad could fix anything. I loved to hand him his tools as he repaired things around the house. Dad promised me some sparkly, play high-healed shoes after I got better from a tonsillectomy. I still remember him going with me to purchase them. I was so excited. Dad helped me with an art project using toothpicks. I couldn't figure out what to make. Dad did most of the work and made a beautiful pine tree. Dad also helped me with a leaf collection I had to complete. He got me some great specimens from BYU campus. My favorite being the Gingko tree. In my late teens I began having problems with anxiety. I had a job downtown Provo. My anxiety made me want to quit my job. My Dad would come to my place of work and then we would go to a park and have our lunch together. When I moved to Provo after I graduated from BYU, he stopped off one day on his way home from work and brought each of my roommates and myself a little individual strawberry pie from "Mom McFaddins". I always knew my Dad loved me. He was always there for me.
