Hoge.) Abigail Woods, b. Aug. 9, 1835, d. Mar. 20, 1932 Robert Woods, b. Nov. 6, 1858, d. Nov. 11, 1889 Henry Clay, b. July 3, 1860, d. Apr. 18, 1862, (Records say son of Geo. Hoge, Jr. Interred at Hoge Farm Cemetery; disinterred about 1880 and laid in Persley Church Old Cemetery; disinterred Aug. 10, 1932 and laid in Greene Mount Cemetery with father and two other children.) Amanda Louise, b. Oct. 5, 1863, d. Sep. 10, 1908, (Records say Miss, age 40y) Annie Laura, b. May 7, 1862, d. Aug. 30, 1878, (Records say Anna, daughter of Geo. Hoge, Jr., b. As a result of the long-standing controversy over slavery, war broke out in April 1861, when Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter in South Carolina, shortly after U.S. President Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated. The nationalists of the Union proclaimed loyalty to the U.S. Constitution. They faced secessionists of the Confederate States, who advocated for states' rights to expand slavery.

As Prime Minister, Churchill led Britain to victory in the Second World War. Churchill represented five constituencies during his career as Member of Parliament (MP). Ideologically an economic liberal and British imperialist, he began and ended his parliamentary career as a member of the Conservative Party, which he led from 1940 to 1955, but for twenty years from 1904 he was a prominent member of the Liberal Party.
