June 18, 2006 12:00 am • By Daily Herald (0) Signatures Richard Myer Richard Myer, our best friend and the best dad around, was snatched away from his family on June 15, 2006 (with cancer). He was just 44 years young (+ ten years experience). He met his first love, Patty Dorsey, and was sealed in the Provo Temple; and, we completed our family with four beautiful daughters. Our best times were spent in Disneyland and on the beach. His second love was football. He was a youth football coach and he is best known as the referee that wore shorts over his sweats. He served in many callings in the church. He enjoyed working with the youth. His favorite and most memorable callings were the years in scouting. He was a hard worker with over 30 years putting up drywall. He is survived by his wife, Patty; and four daughters: Susan, Tiffany Fuller (Jared), Crystal, and Lisa; and one grandchild, Kaden. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. If you knew him well, you will not be surprised of his request to not have a funeral or a viewing. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006, at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. After the service, we would like to invite family and friends to a "casual (flip-flops welcome) gathering" at the Kolob 4th Ward building at 2557 S. Dalton Drive (200 E.) in Springville. Condolences may be sent at ***********************

It is the first film in the original Star Wars trilogy and the beginning of the Star Wars franchise. Starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing, Alec Guinness, David Prowse, James Earl Jones, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, and Peter Mayhew, the film focuses on the Rebel Alliance, led by Princess Leia (Fisher), and its attempt to destroy the Galactic Empire's space station, the Death Star.

The Space Shuttle was a partially reusable low Earth orbital spacecraft system operated by the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), as part of the Space Shuttle program. Its official program name was Space Transportation System (STS), taken from a 1969 plan for a system of reusable spacecraft of which it was the only item funded for development. The first of four orbital test flights occurred in 1981, leading to operational flights beginning in 1982. In addition to the prototype whose completion was cancelled, five complete Shuttle systems were built and used on a total of 135 missions from 1981 to 2011, launched from the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. Operational missions launched numerous satellites, interplanetary probes, and the Hubble Space Telescope (HST); conducted science experiments in orbit; and participated in construction and servicing of the International Space Station. The Shuttle fleet's total mission time was 1322 days, 19 hours, 21 minutes and 23 seconds.
