Raymond Vern Young

Contributor: Nate Created: 3 months ago Updated: 3 months ago

He was born and raised in Provo, Utah and worked most all of his life in occupations related to automobile parts and service. Dad served in the Army Air Force during WWII from 1942 until 1945 Dad was a good provider in his earlier years and was kind and helpful to many. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed many friends. By the time he was in his early 30th he already had issues with abusing alcohol and was a chronic smoker. These two vices not only seriously shortened his life, but very negatively effected his health and well being. Raymond was not a religious person but was kind and giving to others that needed help. He and my mom Louise raised four children - three boys and a daughter. He died one day short of age 64 after 15 years of poor health including lung and heart problems, and a cerebral event that left him partially unable to cope with life's challanges.
