Description

Dr Peter Gordon, of Wairoa, Hawkes Bay, died suddenly yesterday. The deceased, who was a son of Mrs Peter Gordon, Masterton, for some years followed farming pursuits in the Wairarapa and later commenced to study for the medical profession. In pursuance of these studies he left about seven years ago for Scotland and was successful in graduating as a medical practitioner. About a year ago he returned to Masterton and acted as locum tenens for Dr Cowie during the latter's absence in England/ A few months ago he commenced practice at Wairoa and was in his usual good health until he suffered a sudden stroke on Monday last. He was married only a few months ago to Miss M. H. Payton, of Masterton.
