Contributor: Rbemis01 Created: 2 years ago Updated: 2 years ago

Peter was visited by an LDS missionary named Elder Madson from Lakeview, Utah in around 1870. In 1871, Peter was baptised (when he was about 15 yrs. old). Peter returned with Elder Madson to Utah to work on the Madson farm in order to earn enough money to bring the rest of the family to America. On 4 September 1872, Rasmina (his mother) and his siblings left for America on the ship "Minnesota". His father came over later. Source: Account written by Vondell A. Painter
