Wairarapa Daily Times, 30 June 1919
Mr THEODORE COBB The many friends of Mrs Theodore John Percy Cobb, an old identity of the Wairarapa, will learn with regret of his death, which took place at Masterton yesterday. The deceased gentleman, who was 74 years of age, came to New Zealand in the early days of colonisation and had resided in the Wairarapa for over forty years. He was at one time in partnership with Mr Job Vile in carrying on the Mauriceville mail coaches. For many years he ran poultry farms at various places and he was considered an expert authority on poultry-breeding. The late Mr Cobb, whose end was due to heart trouble, leaves a widow, two daughters and a son and to these general sympathy wil be extended in their sad bereavement.
The daughters are Mrs W. Innes, of Bannister Street and Miss Grace Cobb, while a son, Mr Charles Cobb, resides in Hampshire, England.
The funeral will leave Mrs Innes' residence, 43 Bannister Street at 1 p.m. to-morrow.
Martha died 20 years after him, in Tokanui Hospital, in July 1939 aged 85
