Description
Mr MARTIN KERINS A very old and well-known identity of Masterton in the person of Mr Martin Kerins died in Masterton yesterday. The late Mr Kerins, who had been in failing health for some months, was born in County Galway, Ireland, 84 years ago. He came out to New Zealand nearly 60 years ago and for the past 55 years had successfully carried on road contracting and agricultural work in the Masterton district. He made many friends, who will learn with deep regret of his death and will extend sincere sympathy to the family in their bereavement.
The late Mr Kerins is survived by one daughter, Nurse K. Kerins and three sons, Messrs Thomas, John and Martin, all of Masterton.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St patrick's Church at 7 o'clock this morning and the funeral will take place at 3.30 p.m. The will be no flowers by request.
