Erected by James B Ferguson on memory of his beloved mother Bell Ferguson who departed this life 11th Feb 1855 in her 82nd years of her age. Here also lie the remains of Thomasina and James, his children who died in infancy. William McMurray, his nephew, who died 21st May 1848 aged 15. Isabella Hardcastle, his niece, who died 5th Dec 1856 aged 26. Captain W.A. Hardcastle, his brother in law, who died 2nd Feb 1858. Helen E Ferguson, his daughter, who died 11th March 1868. Margaret Ferguson, his wife, who died 30th Aug 1868. James Baxter Ferguson who died 29th Sept 1877. Jane Ferguson, his daughter in law, who died 13th Feb 1910. James Hyndman Ferguson.... who died .. Feby 1921 aged .. and of Margaret Ferguson daughter of James B Ferguson died 17th August 1923 aged .. years. In memory of 2nd Lt. James Ernest Ferguson, 10th Batt. Royal Dublin Fusiliers, who was killed in France on 20th April 1917, while leading the Comapny and buried near Lavrelle. Only son of James Hyndman and Jane Ferguson.
