Lucy G. Mickelson
Lucy Christina Godfrey Mickelson, age 80, died Tuesday in Salt Lake City at the home of her daughter.
She was born April 15, 1892 in Clarkston, Utah, the daughter of Thomas and Caroline Jensen Godfrey. She married John G. Mickelson August 29, 1910 in Pocatello. He died in 1947.
Mrs. Mickelson had lived in Dayton, Idaho most of her married life. She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Relief Society.
Survivors include the following children: Delmar J. Mickelson of Ogden, Utah, Norman G. Mickelson of Idaho Falls, Reese M. Michelson of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Don (Zelma) Bright of Preston, Bernice Mickelson of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Sterling (MarDean) Campbell of Roy, Utah, and Mrs. Thain (Jean) Scow, also of Salt Lake City. One son preceded her in death.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a brother, A. Joseph Godfrey of Salt Lake City, and a sister, Mrs. William (Emma) Shepherd of Dayton, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, at 1 p.m. in the Dayton ward chapel. Friends may call Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Webb Funeral Home in Preston, and at the Dayton chapel Saturday after 12 noon.
