Lucy Ann Bell Heaton, age 37, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from injuries due to a vehicle accident. She was born July 30, 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jacqueline Butters and Richard Blaine Bell, one of seven children.
She graduated from Alta High School in Salt Lake. She married Shane Wendall Bundy and was later divorced. She married Brian Heaton in Fredonia, Arizona on December 11, 2008, and was sealed ayear later in the Oquirrh Mountain LDS Temple.
Lucy was a joyful person who loved life. She was very compassionate and loved to help anyone and everyone in need. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Over the years Lucy brought home many strays and had many other animals; from cockatiels and finches to iguanas to turtles to finally rabbits, chickens, cats and dogs while living in Alton. She loved to garden and had planted over 200 bulbs this fall. She was anxiously awaiting their blooming this spring.
Lucy joined the Alton Fire Department and Kane County EMS after moving to Alton, and loved the service she was able to give as a volunteer.
Lucy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her service in Primary. She reconnected with her high school best friend Brian four years ago and found the love of her life. They were married shortly after in December of 2008, and were sealed exactly one year later for all eternity. She was the love of Brian’s life. Her children were her pride and joy, and she always said, "You can hurt me, but don’t hurt my children."
Her loving and kind spirit will be greatly missed by all of her many family members.
Survivors include husband Brian Heaton of Alton; children Tyler Mikeal Bundy, Hailee Breann Bundy, Austin Daniel Bundy and Liberty Cheyenne Bundy all of Alton; parents Richard & Jacquie Bells of Spanish Fork, UT; mother- and father-in-law Claren & Wanda Heaton of Alton; siblings Kristina & Tom Perry, Richard Bryan & Casey Bell, Kimberly and Brian Brown, Cassilynn & Nathan Post, Tracie & Joseph Billings, and Emily & Michael Carter; sisters in-law Stacey & Erik Baron and Shannon & Duane Baird both of Alton; grandfathers Robert Kenneth Butters and James Farrell Bell both of SLC; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her grandmothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Novembr 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Alton LDS Church, with a viewing at the church Friday evening from 5:00-6:00 PM and Saturday morning from 12:30-1:45 PM.
Burial with honors by the Kane County EMTs and Alton Fire Department will be in the Alton Cemetery following services.
