In loving memory of LOUISA wife of JOHN W. FRANCIS who died 31st August 1913. Also in constant and loving remembrance of JOHN WM FRANCIS devoted husband of the above who died as a result of a street accident at Portsea 18th August 1930 "Behold He taketh away"

FATAL HESITATION. A retired Civil servant of Herne Bay, spending holiday at Souths**, wa* knocked down motor-cycle near the Castle Tea House on Friday evening, and died the Royal Portsmouth Hospital on Monday. He waa identified Mr. John William Prancis. aged 79, of Oxendcn House, Heme Bay. His daughter. Miss Alice May Francis, who had lived with him at Oxenden House, told the Deputy City P. H. Childs. J.P. and a jury at the inquest at the Guildhall to-day that her father enjoyed excellent health. Ho left Herne Bay on August 11 for Portsmouth. On August 18 she was railed the Royal Hospital, where lav unconscious. The story of the accident was told three eye-witnesses—Mrs. Edith B. Treffry. of Easffield Road, Alfred Herbert Martin, of Telephone Road, Sergt. A. H, Danse, of the Anti-Aircraft Battery, Clarence Barracks
