When he was born he weighed very little and the doctor put him in a shoebox and set him near the pot belly stove to stay warm thinking he may not make it and turning his attention to the mother and the other baby. it was considered a miracle that he lived. As a young boy Leland lived in San Bernardino , California. He enjoyed watching all sports and scouting. He was an avid BYU Fan. He followed all the teams scores. He met his wife Judyth Shadoan. at BYU . They have 6 children Reed , Scott , LeeAnn , Andreas , Kevin and Liberty. Leland taught school in Fountain Valley , California. He enjoyed teaching Math. Leland worked in Administration for the school district. He attended many BYU games. He retired and served as a location missionary and enjoyed it very much. He loved to enter contests and won many things he enjoyed giving his children. I remember him saying open your eyes wide for picture!
