George Edwin Young died along with George L. Carson as workmen employed by the Sunshine Water Line company. They were entombed by a crumbling bank of earth in which they were digging near the pump station in Fairfield Flat, Utah County, at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, and a few minutes later were taken out dead. The scene of the accident is near the old town of Camp Floyd, where both men resided. A Coroner's inquest was held and a verdict of accidental death was rendered. In the cave-in, which came very unexpectedly, Young was hurled violently against a stake, and had his neck broken, while Carson was entirely covered up and smothered to death. The former leaves a wife and six children residing at Camp Floyd. Carson was a young man of 21 years who was boarding in the camp.
