Jean Barber

Description

After an illness extending over the past few months, the death occurred at her residence, 17 Col Street, yesterday, of Mrs Jean Barber, at the age of 77 years.

The late Mrs Barber was born at Lal Lal, Ballarat, Victoria, where she had resided for the greater part of her life. Her husband, Mr Alfred Barber, predeceased her in Melbourne eleven years ago. She came to Masterton five years ago. The late Mrs barber is survived by three sons, Messrs Leslie, Stanley and Lyle Barber, well-known butchers of Masterton and a daughter, Mrs L. M. Clarke of Sydney, to whom the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended in their bereavement.
