Andrew Emerson-McCreadie was born in Kirkmabreck Scotland, to Mary Emerson (1868-) who married Andrew McCreadie (1865-1927). They merged their names for the children (unusual for those times). Andrew married Jane 'Jean' McGarva Boyd in 1913. She and their children do not appear to have carried on the McCreadie on their names
