Jack W Wood

Jack Wynn Wood, 54 passed away March 25, 1992 at the VA Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was born Feb. 4, 1938 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, a son of Howard W. Wood and Victoria Wood Wright. He married Veneta M. Wood, Roy, Nov. 19, 1960 in Watertown, N.Y. It was solemnized Nov, 19, 1966 in the Mesa LDS Temple, Ariz. Later divorced. They remarried Nov 19, 1988. He retired with a 20 year career in the USAF as a Radio Tech and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was active in the LDS Church for many years serveing as a Scout Master, Elders Quorum and Ward Clerk. Surviving are four daughters and three sons. Jeni (Vickie) Solomon, LaPuente California,; Jackie Brown, Ogden; James W. (Tammy) of Ogden; Jack L. (Debbie), San Jose, Calif.; Joseph W. (Ruth), SLC; Johnna Parks, Clinton; and Jolinda Johnson (Bruce), Spanish Fork; 16 grandchildren. Three brothers ans one sister, Dennis L. Wood Ridgecrest, Calif.; Victor B. Wood, Selah Wash.; John D. Wood, Logan; and Wanda Wood, New Orleans, La. He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Linda; son, Gerald; and grandson Kalvin Brown. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 30th at 12 noon at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. 7600 S. SLC. Friends may call at the mortuary from 11 until time of services. Pres. Jay Cheever will officiate. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery where military honors will be accorded
