In Loving Memory of Our Dear Father and Mother, Isaac Allen, Died June 16 1915, Aged 69; Rose Allen, Died May 5 1917 Aged 75 "For His Mercies Endureth Forever"

16 June 1915 .. The many friends of Mr Issac Allen, senr., of Upper Plain, will regret to hear of his death, which took place in Masterton Hospital this morning. The deceased gentleman, who was very well-known and respected in the Masterton district, took up his residence at Upper Plain in 1874 and has resided there ever since. He has for some years been proprietor of a threshing plant and his death was due to a cold contracted while working on the machine. The cold was contracted some weeks ago and although Mr Allen had the best medical attention it settled on his lungs and caused his death. Mr Allen was born in Somerset, England and was in his 70th year. He leaves a widow and grown-up family of three sons and two daughters.
:: 5 May 1917 .. The death occurred early this morning of a well-known and highly respected resident of Masterton in the person of Mrs Isaac Allen, senior. The deceased, who was 75 years of age, was born at Touton, Somersetshire, England and had resided in the district for 42 years.
