Late Mrs A. Bourke The death occurred on Wednesday at Masterton, of Mrs Annie Bourke. Mrs Bourke, who was predeceased by her husband, Mr James Bourke, nine years ago, landed at Foxton from the ship Rakaia in 1879. Later she went to the Wairarapa and after 35 years residence at Leylands, Opaki, she went to Masterton, where she had lived for the past three years. Altogether Mrs Bourke spent 66 years in the Masterton district.

She is survived by five daughters, Mesdames J. Connors (Mary Ann), Masterton; A. Watson (Annie), Masterton; F. Sefton (Emily), Palmerston North; D. Knowles (Dorothy Alice), Hamilton and I. W. Weston (Nora Ellen), Lincoln, Christchurch.
